Birthing Babies is excited to announce a partnership with Henrico Doctor’s Hospital to offer childbirth classes in a convenient location, their Women’s Pavilion.  The childbirth classes will be held at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital Nelson Conference Room in the Women’s Pavilion from on Saturdays or Sundays from 1-6pm.

Online Childbirth, Breastfeeding, and Yoga Classes are also available!  By clicking the links you will leave the site, but all classes are still taught by Blake.

Each class meets on a Saturday or Sunday from 1-6pm.

Part 1 (1-3pm): Understanding Pregnancy and Birth: We will cover labor progress, how to know you are in labor, and things you can do to support the labor process.

Part 2 (3-5pm): Common Medical Procedures and Comfort Techniques: In this section we cover decisions you will have to make for your hospital birth and how to achieve your birth goals. We will also cover positions to aid labor progress and comfort techniques partner’s can use.

Part 3 (5-6pm): Postpartum Recovery and Parenting Tips. We will wrap up the class briefly covering what you can realistically expect during your postpartum recovery and as you adjust to your new role as parents!

There will be plenty of time to ask questions throughout the class, but if you have any before please feel free to reach out!
